Our History

Our dental practice Fraser Smith Lowe Dentists was established by Craig Fraser in 1972. Over forty years later, we are proud of the many thousands of patients (families and their friends) who have added to our “dental family”. We have a reputation in the Pakuranga-Howick community of being at the forefront of technological change. Of equal importance is our commitment to preventive-focused dentistry and our ability to retain highly skilled and friendly staff that share our caring attitude and would welcome any opportunity to assist you.

With the growing need for preventive care in NZ our Dental Hygiene service was introduced in 1997.  Our patients immediately saw the positive results of this with a healthier, fresher mouth and longer term dental and health benefits.  The Dental Hygiene department quickly grew from 1 hygienist to the 5 hygienists we currently have.

In 2013, we established SmartSmile as a practice committed solely to Dental Hygiene operating under the same roof as Fraser Smith Lowe Dentists to recognise the increasing desire for preventative oral hygiene.  We have long established relationships with other dental practitioners and will happily refer you back to your chosen dentist should the need arise.
